New "Uprising" gameplay footage
As something that resembles a proper update, here is a YouTube video that features new "Uprising" gameplay footage. Unfortunately, the background noises within overwhelm any game sounds, so the viewer is best to have it all mute. The link below explains a tad about the AR (or Augmented Reality) cards and the online multiplayer format described in the previous entry. Meanwhile, the Nota bene below deals with the release date, or the lack thereof. Enjoy the video, and special thanks to the Uprisen blog.

Nota bene: The entry is a good opportunity as any to explain about the current release date issue. It was originally slated/rumored to be debut in Summer 2011, except the latest rumor has it pushed back to Fall/Winter. The latter makes sense, as per the lack of any proper real time announcement. (After all, if it were to debut within the month, wouldn't Nintendo say so?)

The MCV UK link offers this, which, as of this writing, is the closest thing to confirmation:

The platform holder didn't confirm a release date either, but Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed that it would be available on shelves before the end of the year.
If and when the release date is announced, I'll certainly update. As for the underlying issue of Nintendo's inability to confirm or deny such matters, I'll address it in a future entry. (Nevertheless, if someone else wishes to do so, feel free.)
